I am so happy that we had Michael as our officiant. He was positive, upbeat, professional, and very sincere during the service. Michael provided me with several different services beforehand that we could tweak to suit how we wanted our service to go. We were so happy with how our wedding service went. I 100% totally recommend Michael Rye. He has a website, too, that you should check out outside of Thumbtack to learn more.

Michael was such a great officiant for our wedding! He gave us different wedding sample ceremonies to choose from and he we asked if he could add in a touch of humor which he did to perfection. Highly recommend!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Firstly I would like to meet face to face or via Facetime so we can discuss what is in the clients mind, regarding vows, time of service, prayer, readings, to get a feel for the overall service. From there I like to organize what will be said for the vows, short and sweet, more traditional or their own words from the heart. If they feel the need for a rehearsal to get the wedding party in sync, great if not, we look forward to the big day.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
In Australia, I owned a Wedding Function Center helping coordinate wedding receptions, working with caterers, bands and D.J. plus I have been a Professional Ballroom Dancer for 30 years
