Welcome to T’s Happy Dogs Boarding—an insured, full-time, low-volume dog boarding and daycare service in our home only.
We’re located 15 minutes to BWI airport, but have many clients from Northern Virginia to Delaware that fly out of DCA and Dulles airport who board here. With over 13 years of pet care experience, we’re proud Thumbtack Top Pros with a consistent 5⭐ rating, over 120 hires on our platform, and many happy repeat clients along with her other existing clients.
We offer a safe, smoke-free, air-conditioned home with a fully fenced, grassy backyard and plenty of playtime and potty breaks. We keep things small so every dog gets personal attention, and we can provide separate spaces and activities for pups who prefer their own company.
Rates start at $65 per night for adult dogs, with discounts for multiple dogs, discount when you book 10 nights or more. We also offer meet-and-greets (in person or virtual), short and long-term stays, and last-minute/same-day bookings when available. All dogs must be up to date with Bordetella, rabies and distemper in order to board in the state of Maryland.

I have not had the chance to drop off my pups yet, but based off Ms. T’s consultation call alone, I will be a customer in the future. Despite my inability to commit to the date needed, Ms T gave me a thorough, friendly, informative consultation with a follow up message to recap. She even gave me a FaceTime tour of the space she boards the doggies in. I will 100% be back and I’m so appreciative that Ms T was kind enough to spend an hour answering my questions. Thank you Ms T!

Ms. T took great care of my puppy while I was away. She kept me updated, made sure he was comfortable, and it was clear he was well loved and cared for during his stay. T was very accommodating for my puppies, especially with my last minute request. She is very thorough in explaining her business and what to expect. She kept me up to date on how it was going during the entire stay. 10/10, highly recommend!!!! I will be bringing them back again!

While I was on vacation, Ms T made me feel like my baby Trevy was right there with me. I was updated daily with pictures and/or videos of him playing with other dogs, really enjoying himself. I will definitely be using her services whenever Mama needs time away!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I take deposits and work with you on a payment schedule that works best with your schedule.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Collecting as much information as possible to insure that your dog has the most of his/her staycation. Such as making sure all guests are up to date on their vaccinations, in good health and have proper tick and flea treatment. Noting feeding and meditation schedules, getting verified emergency contact information and other relevant information related to his/her stay.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started by helping my coworkers that traveled for work and didn’t have anyone at home to care for their dogs as well as I’ve always had my own dogs that enjoyed the huge backyard that were happy to make new friends. Once I retired, I continued to watch my now ex coworkers pets, along with family, friends and referrals.
