Although I did not proceed to contract with SWAT AV and that's mostly because I had already finished 95% of my home theater project on my own and it didn't make business sense for SWAT and they were very honest and professional about it and even provided me with free recommendations even though I didn't use their service. This highlights the professionalism and passion these guys have for their job and ultimately provide value to their customers. If I ever want to add additional items to my Home Theater setup, I'll definitely be engaging with SWAT AV. Rick and Bear are the guys you want to work with on your Home Theater project if you're starting from scratch.

Paul and David did a great job running Cat6 wiring throughout my new house, taking care to patch the holes and drywall where they accessed. They installed wall plates at three different terminals, and a central hub by my tv/ entertainment area. They also fixed up where my internet or fiber optic was coming from and laid it out super neatly. I would definitely recommend these guys. Given the three levels of my townhouse, this allowed me to wire 3 of my mesh routers and get blazing fast internet all over the house

I am blown away by the professionalism and knowledge of Swat AV. I originally came across them through Thumbtack and I’m glad I did. I wanted to convert my 5.1 theater system into a 7.2 with mounting of my rear surround speakers on my wall, as well as two in-ceiling speakers for that Atmos. I contacted Swat and Best Buy. Rick from Swat came over first for the consultation, he was courteous to my wife who knows nothing about audio and re-assured her that he would take care of everything exactly. We let them know that Best Buy was also a consideration and Rick took it in stride and said: “Once you get their quote, let us tell you why we are better”. I didn’t even need to get to that step. After Best Buy arrived, I could tell that their “expert” knew nothing about sound. He explained to us that they’d hang the back speakers but wires would be showing and they wouldn’t do any patch work meaning I’d have huge holes all over my basement (where the work was being done). Not only that, he kept trying to upsell us on EVERYTHING he saw in our basement. “oh, your receiver is old, have you seen the new TVs at Best Buy” etc. I didn’t even wait for the quote (which I never actually got by the way before going with Swat). Their price is more than reasonable for the quality of work you get, but before I get into that more, and I can’t reiterate this enough, you DON’T want horrible contractors working on any audio equipment or installation of speakers in your house. If you do, you’ll have destroyed dry wall, and audio that won’t work properly and more than likely they will destroy your equipment too. If you get an icky feeling as I did about Best Buy, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. You won’t get that feeling at all with SWAT AV. Back to the price…SWAT AV is more than fair for what you get as well as reasonable. The equipment they offer you is great as well, so you’re not getting cheap wiring or speakers (in my case I had to purchase the two speakers I used for my Atmos from them). They hide all wires, patch the walls, and offer white glove calibration of your equipment. The price they charged me wouldn’t even cover NORMAL patch work from a professional, let alone complete audio equipment installation. They will also work with you based on your needs to make sure you’re absolutely satisfied. Their communication is top notch. Actually, they were so responsive I felt badly for them. Any time I texted or emailed, they responded almost immediately. Each interaction with them I was more and more re-assured that they were the right ones for the job. If I had a question, they explained it in simple terms and weren’t overbearing at all. They will also do their absolute best depending on their workload to get your installation done as quickly as they can. You have to realize though that home audio installation, especially in this area, is in high demand. Best Buy even told us there wouldn’t be a shot before 3 weeks where they would have time to do their sub-par installation of my equipment. Bear worked with me and was communicative about cancellations and really made me feel like I was their only customer (which isn’t the case because they are in high demand) and got me scheduled super quickly after my consultation. On to the actual installation! On the day of the install, I asked them to let me know when their expert was 15 minutes away so I could run home from work to let them in, expecting not to hear from them, but just get a call saying “hey we’re here where are you?”. Wasn’t the case at all. Paul called me and I was able to meet him right as he arrived. He knew exactly what to do based on what I had communicated with Bear. Paul was patient and understanding as I re-summarized what I had wanted done. I left for work and when I got home my new system was waiting for me, right as Paul was finished calibrating my receiver. I was AMAZED. I looked around my basement and the patch work was almost flawless. I could barely see where he had to cut into my drywall, and he had to cut…. A LOT. He vacuumed everything, and my basement was spotless! My overhead speakers meshed right into the wall and looked incredible, I was amazed. I had asked him to leave me extra wire behind my receiver where he had to drill into the wall expecting to see loads of ugly wire…NOPE! He added a spool behind my wall in the utility room where it was out of site and not an ugly mess. I had expressed concern that my receiver might have been broken because I had a frayed wire when I installed it the first time at my old place and he threaded EACH speaker wire into a ¾ jack that plugged into receiver neatly so I’d never have to worry about a wire shorting out the system again. We ran our first sound test on my new 7.2 setup and it sounded AMAZING. I high fived Paul and was like a kid running around trying to find every movie I could to test out the new system. When they say white glove service they mean it. To summarize: 1. DO NOT get cheap contractors to do your work. 2. Go with SWAT and you’ll have an audio go-to for life. I will never use anyone else again for future work. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!

Great team, very professional, cleaned up after themselves, took the time to explain the entire system to me on a Friday afternoon, and the HQ team was very responsive. I think we got a good deal on the equipment, matched the going rate. I would hire this company again for sure.
