Nikolay did an amazing job assembling my new dresser. He arrived on time, organized all the parts, and had the dresser put together quickly. He even fixed a minor issue with one of the drawers that I hadn’t noticed. The whole process was smooth, and he left everything spotless. I needed this pro to fix a bad job that a previous pro did with the assembly of my cabinet. He did dismantle and reassemble to where the holes matched up to tact the side to the actual cabinet, but he just slid the legs in instead of using the screws to secure it, so the legs fell off which caused the doors to fall of and screws popped out of the doors and got lost on the ground. He tried to blame it on me stating that they must've came off during transit, but if that was the case they would be on my seat/in my car..... but the screws are totally missing and never were added, and i think he knows that. I would've given 1 extra star bit decided against it for having the audacity to blame me and not take accountability and apologize, and be more professional to offer to fix it to resolve. I am reaching out to support to hopefully get at least half of my money back.

Your response is a lie. Again you are stating things that were wrong with the cabinet prior to me bringing it to you that I didn't disagree with you with, not getting why you're not understanding that. My only gripe was that you didn't secure the legs because you didn't put screws in the holes and that's why they fell off! You're too busy trying to defend instead of owning that you're not perfect. It wasn't placed in the trunk(you know that because you're the one who helped me put it in the backseat), it was placed securely in my back seat, and during the drive it did not move. As I said before, I take partial responsibility for not checking all of your work. But it takes maturity and professionalism to take accountability. If the screws did fall off then they would obviously be on my seat or somewhere in my car. We cleaned out the entire car and no screws. It's not a coincidence that every screw is missing. You clearly didn't add screws to secure the legs to the cabinet. Just awful. I took away another star because one thing I don't appreciate is a liar and someone who doesn't have the capacity to take accountability. I will make a claim and let Thumbtack get involved.

Please, read it carefully ! It’s very important. The condition in which you brought the cabinet to me was far from ideal. It had several deformities, and there were over ten holes with missing screws. Despite these issues, I was able to fix all the deformations caused during your initial transportation. I have photo documentation of the state in which you brought the cabinet, showing the misaligned parts and scratches. After my work, everything was aligned properly, and all the holes were filled. You checked the work under good light, and there were no questions from you at that time. You then placed the cabinet in your Dodge trunk without securing it, and drove more than 30 miles from Gaithersburg to DC. Given this situation, it’s not surprising that something happened to the bottom of the cabinet during the journey. Manufacturers don’t ship fully assembled furniture for a reason—they send parts, which are meant to be assembled and then disassembled before moving. Moving fully assembled furniture for long distances can often result in damage. I understand your frustration, but I want to clarify that I am very meticulous with my work. I ensure that all components are securely fastened during assembly. I can only recommend that you hire someone else for a third attempt, but PLEASE, if it’s not going to be in your current apartment, avoid placing it unsecured in the trunk for another LONG DRIVE.
