Thumbtack charges professionals like me money each time someone reaches out to me, regardless of whether my rates are within your budget or not. Please note that I do not provide karaoke services. For karaoke services, a karaoke jockey (KJ) is most appropriate. :) Unlike many DJs who turn events into their own personal soundstage, I customize everything to what YOU want and need. I believe in good communication and expectations, which is why I insist on meeting with clients as is necessary to ensure that I have a clear understanding of what they want and expect out of their DJ. Your event is about YOU and should reflect that through the music. Two things that make me stand out from other DJs: 1) I bring my phone with me and turn it into a hot spot so I can download music on the fly if necessary and 2) I send all of my client a fill-in-the-blank info form well ahead of their event so I can get all of the important information - schedule, announcements, playlist and do not playlists, in one place. It keeps the event running smoothly and organized. The thing I like most about being a DJ is just knowing that people have chosen me to be a part of the most special events of their lives. It's truly an honor!
