FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Structural Inspections are verbal, typically $450. A formal follow-up letter is an additional cost, typically $150. Structural design, detailed reports, engineered drawings, additional construction site inspections, are all additional cost. The costs of additional work is discussed prior to the scheduled inspection or at the time of the inspection. A $100 discount may be possible if schedule flexibility is permitted.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
AEI will discuss your concerns and address them with an onsite analysis in this manner: 1) Determine the load conditions on the structure (Load Inventory), 2) Determine what the structure is composed of (Resistance Mechanisms), 3) Determine how the structure loads are being resisted (Load Tracing), 4) Review symptoms of structural insufficiency(Diagnostics), 5) Provide options, if repairs are recommended(Solutions), 6) Provide potential costs associated with various design solutions(Estimation), and 7) Provide a design build solution, if required, and if desired(Contract). You will be part of this assessment process as we address your concerns and walk through our inspection with you. We will discuss our assessment with you, and our recommendations, in a format and dialogue that is easily understood.
