Dan responded promptly to my request for info and a quote. He was knowledgeable and explained his plan to repair my counter top and allowed me to put in ideas as well. It was nice to be able to ask questions and respond back and forth in thumbtack. My experience with Dan was very good and I would highly recommend him to help you in your projects in your home.

Details: Kitchen • Countertop • Missing tile(s)

Dan and Luis installed a subway tile backsplash in my kitchen. Dan communicated with me throughout the process. The work looks great. When the job was complete, they cleaned up the area. I would not hesitate to have them complete other home improvement projects.

Details: Kitchen • Backsplash • 25 - 50 sq ft • Drywall • No, but I will buy the tiles myself

Details: Kitchen • Backsplash • 25 - 50 sq ft • No existing material (e.g., tile, carpet) needs to be removed • Drywall • Porcelain • Yes; I already have the tiles

We want you to know how happy we are with the two projects you completed for us. The built-ins and the TV cabinet are absolutely perfect in both design and construction. We take great pride especially in showing off the TV cabinet which exudes a powerful WOW-factor. ..a very creative design that is more like a work of art than a storage cabinet. You are a true craftsman and a pleasure to work with.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I generally charge $60-$75 per hour including time picking up materials for most handyman jobs. I have a 2 hour minimum which includes travel time and materials pickup. I price remodeling work and cabinetry by the job.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Anything and everything... Last week for a client's rental basement apartment I had to jackhammer up a section of concrete floor and rearrange some drain pipes that were installed, well, basically backwards and repour the concrete, then when that was done I opened up a wall with a big dead space in it, reframed it, and installed new cabinetry....I love creating great storage space from wasted space.
