As a Coach, my goal is to use my knowledge and experience to partner with you to grow into the person you always dreamed of being. I help people develop their skills and find what sets their soul on fire so they can share their light with the world. I have coached professionals from around the world (from all continents except Antarctica since the penguins haven't needed coaching yet) in various industries from healthcare to higher education, from retail sales to informatics, from government to small business. I have helped people at all stages of their careers beginning with students who are looking for a first job to those at the beginning of a career to those wanting to grow into leadership positions to those making transitions to a new field or to retirement. As a grief coach, I listen, ride the rollercoaster of emotions with you, and when you are ready, I help you move forward. I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation, a Certified End of Life and Grief Coach, a Certified Executive Coach, and a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. I have a PhD in Nursing and Research, a Masters in Healthcare Administration and a MBA from Johns Hopkins University. I have also taught advanced coaching at the graduate level and I taught leadership, management, and organizational behavior at the masters and doctoral level for a university. Before I became a coach, I worked as a registered nurse for many years where, in addition to providing direct care for patients, I held director-level positions in the hospital setting and in nonprofit community-based organizations. For most of my long career in nursing, I worked with persons living with HIV and in hospice and palliative care. I also held academic positions where I taught, mentored, participated in research, published and presented nationally. This experience has prepared me to be a health & wellness coach where I help people live a healthy life and manage their stress through meditation and mindfulness.
