What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For accounting services, I charge by the hour. I also have a flat rate for projects as well. For income tax preparation I have a flat fee and an hourly rate as well.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is to have a conversation with them about their business or about them individually. I find out why they are seeking my services. I then tell them about myself and my practice. I give them a rundown of the services that would fit them and the price. We complete the informational forms and go from there. My goal is to help my clients feel that they have selected the best service provider for their job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associate's degree in paralegal studies. I have a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business with a focus in accounting. I am an IRS Annual Filing Season Program participant and I am currently a candidate to take the CPA exam. I hope to complete this by the end of 2021.
