- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a set pricing structure starting at $4.00 per serving with a $100 minimum for small orders. Cupcakes start at $40 a dozen. The price increases with the complexity of design and additional materials. The Fine Print: Buttercream cakes start at $4.00 and fondant cakes start at $5.00 per serving. Tiered Cakes increase $0.25 per serving with each additional tier. 3-D Cakes involving sculpting and carving start at $5.00 per serving Smash cakes start at $25 when ordered with a party cake Cupcakes start at $40/dozen Chocolate covered Oreos, pretzels, and strawberries start at $30/dozen. Minimum order cake order is $100 Delivery minimum is $40 Delivery is $1.25 a mile (starting from 20616) All orders under $150 must be paid in full to secure delivery date All orders above $150 require a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the total order
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer sends me a basic inquiry then we work together to determine their preferences and how I could execute. Then I send a few pictures with the elements I would incorporate into their cake along with an invoice.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a hobby baker and fell in love with Cake decorating. Soon after I started taking classes and eventually applied for a business license!
