Our kitchen remodeling was recently completed. It included demolishing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, replacing all cabinets and countertops, and removing the kitchen peninsula and replacing it with a kitchen island. We are glad we chose VKB Kitchen and Bath Remodeling from Bethesda, MD. We worked closely with Brian Beren on the design. He presented us with a 3-D design of the planned work at his office in Bethesda and made several changes "live" as we requested them. We had a final 3-D picture of how the completed work would look like before we signed the contract. They did a great job at a much better price compared to the estimates from other companies we contacted.

VKB Kitchen and Bath Bethesda remodeled our kitchen and the difference between the old and the new is incredible! My wife and I are pleased with the result. We were especially happy with the fact that VKB was able to complete the kitchen before Christmas, which made our time with our children much more enjoyable.The only reason the rating is less than five stars is that the communication for the first couple of weeks of the project was spotty, and we had to manage things more closely than we expected. After a meeting, though, the communication improved and everything turned out well.My overall rating would 4.5 stars, but half-stars are not possible.

The workmanship and end result was good, and the people are friendly. Our designer Brian and project manager Matt were easy going and accommodating. The workers were also really nice and listened to concerns and answered questions the best they could.There were various communication issues where we weren't all on the same page about things, so you likely have to put effort into confirming and coordinating details. But honestly, remodeling firms that have super smooth communication seem to cater to rather wealthy clients, and you probably can't afford them. Pay a little extra to do good permits with the county and then you can relax knowing that everything is getting checked from multiple angles.

Working with VKB was a great experience. They completed a kitchen and bathroom renovation and replaced our floors. We were quoted a project timeline of 4-5 weeks and they met the deadline and budget. Additionally, they were incredibly flexible with our needs and timeline as we needed to coordinate a removal and return of all of our furniture due to the floor work, saving us additional costs on storage. Working with Brian as our consultant and Matt as our PM was an excellent experience. We felt listened to and appreciated the collaborative environment. A special recognition goes to Matt for being available daily throughout the project. He provided timely updates, photo progress, and communicated well throughout the project all via text. He was very available. The team took great care to respect our space and the quality of work was excellent. Every stated milestone and objective were met, and even the minute requests that needed addressing throughout due to unforeseen circumstances were met with an open-minded dialogue and/or a timely and acceptable solution. The end result is exactly what we hoped for.
