Hello and Welcome! Please note that we provide online tutoring only! The only exception is if you live in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. Good Hope Tutoring Services (GHTS) is a New Majority-Owned tutoring service. We believe that all students have a natural curiosity and desire to learn. We also believe that, regardless of their academic level or geographic location, all students deserve convenient and affordable tutoring services to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. Whether your child needs assistance in recovering from COVID Learning Loss, preparing for next-level education, or help with a specific subject, our holistic approach can assist with improving grades, building confidence and learning new techniques. We offer one-on-one tutoring and group sessions through our online user-friendly platform where we employ a variety of innovative teaching methods that promote individual growth by coinciding with each student’s style of learning. One of our primary goals is to equip students with the life skills necessary to achieve success in an evolving society. We help students make the correlation between the fundamental concepts of reading and math, as well as the real-life applications. I love the tutoring the very first day that I attended Ms. Brown gave me suggestions on how to study better for my Biology class which helped soo much compared to what I was originally doing. She broke the information down and made it make more sense and explained the information. I definitely recommend any type of tutoring from good hope tutoring.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is at or below industry standard. I also run specials often and offer low rates for group tutoring. Our standardized tests prep classes have very modest price points.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once the client decides to work with us, I talk with them about the schedule. Then I send them a Tutoring agreement that can be cancelled with a two-week notice. I also send a teacher, student and parent questionnaire. Next, I put them into Tutorbird and send them their login information. After that, I send an invoice and once it's paid, I send the Zoom link and any other information they need before the first session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. Degree in Biology and a M. A. in Instructional Systems Development. I also held an Advanced Professional Certificate in Grades 1-8. I have taught 6 years in public schools, 2 in private schools and 4 in 2 different colleges.
