Hi. Thank you for the review. This is James, the owner, and you may not know it, but I was there on the job because I do care. To be exact the very informal guess given by Mary over the phone was 71% lower than the actual written quote that was sent. The reason it was lower is because Mary was quoting the labor only portion, again, over the phone and this was not a binding agreement. The written quote is very formal and binding and you were trying to bargain with us. The staff asked me if we could reduce the price, and I said “No. Not on a difficult item like a hot tub.” I cannot see how this would cause you to think my staff is not top shelf....Because moving a hot tub requires very careful and tactical measures, the price cannot be negotiated. When someone asks for a price over the phone we try to accommodate them by letting them know what we think it may be. Then we write the quote and send it. I listened to both office members that spoke with the customer and they treated the customer with respect and professionalism. I know that the office staff is very kind and accommodating. I really wish we could lower the price, but then again, you get what you pay for.
