FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe what customers like the most is the fact that I quote the entire project so that it’s turnkey (with materials and potential surprises accounted for). That way once we start the project the cost has a better chance of decreasing if we don’t need to do one thing or the other. I also show my clients various types of materials to choose from so they have the chance of decreasing the material allowances as well - during the purchase of said materials I also apply contractor discount if I can to decrease costs even more. We’ve been able to get up to 65% off on bathroom fixtures and even 35% off on cabinets as well as other discounts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typical process is tough to explain. I have to adapt constantly to benefit my clients. Some are more decisive than others, some want to be more a part of the project than others, and some have more of a flexible budget than others. So the process can’t be cookie cutter rather personalized to benefit my client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my experience has been from mentorship and self-teaching. My father passed down a lot of good skills, but most of what I’ve learned has been from personal experience. I did take my GC License Exam, I took OSHA 10 & 30 safety courses, and the rest I learned through personal experience in a small bathroom remodel to luxury condo building.
