FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In my 14 years of writing for The Associated Press, radio, local and national TV news, and documentary-style TV, I have learned how to tell a story powerfully and efficiently. Every piece has its own purpose and voice. I can help you find that voice and amplify it to deliver your message clearly and compellingly.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began editing resumes, cover letters and graduate school applications in the early 1990's, when college classmates enlisted my "eagle eye" for proofreading and editing. Now I have extensive experience revising resumes and cover letters across many professions, as well as applications for MBA's, MFA's, MSW's, law school, nursing school, fellowships, and artists' residencies. It is tremendously fun and rewarding to help people present their skills and strengths in the best way possible.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I enjoy projects big and small, for individuals or organizations. Recent clients have included an Italian transplant who needed her resume revised for U.S. employers and a preschool that needed all new content for its website. The resume took two hours; the website took weeks of research, organization, writing, and rewriting.
