- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hourly Rates: The cost of labor is typically charged on an hourly basis. This rate can vary depending on the number of movers required for the job and the specific services needed (packing, loading, unloading, etc.). Travel Fee: This fee covers the cost of time and fuel for the moving truck to get from our warehouse to your location and back again after the move. Materials Cost: If you require packing materials (like boxes, tape, bubble wrap), there may be additional charges. Additional Services: Services such as hoisting, heavy items, or specialty item handling (like pianos, antiques, or artwork) may incur additional fees. Discounts: We offer various discounts based on the payment method. For instance, paying in cash or via Zelle can earn you a discount because it saves us on transaction fees. Peak Times Surcharge: Please be aware that moving during peak times such as weekends or end of the month may incur a higher rate due to high demand.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial Contact: The customer contacts us with their moving needs. We gather basic information such as the current location, the new location, the volume of items to be moved, and the desired moving date. Estimate: Based on the information provided, we create an initial estimate of the moving cost. We often ask for photographs or a detailed inventory of items to be moved to make our estimate as accurate as possible. Scheduling: If the customer decides to move forward, we agree on a moving date and time. At this point, we often ask for a small deposit to secure the booking. Pre-Move Planning: Before the move, we may visit the customer's location for a walk-through. This allows us to plan for any special requirements, such as large or fragile items that need special care. Moving Day: On the moving day, our team arrives at the scheduled time with all the necessary equipment. They carefully pack, load, transport, and unload the customer's items at the new location. Post-Move Follow-Up: After the move, we follow up with the customer to ensure everything went smoothly and to address any concerns or questions. We value customer feedback and use it to continually improve our services.
