FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
i usually go by piecework but really depends on the job. the more heights"above 8 -9 feet, price starts to go up a bit as takes longer. there is a minimum for labor regardless if job is a small 1"days pay" but if have to do prep work i.e. a room is only partially gutted and i need to tend to prepping 1st price goes up a bit. normally if info. given is vague then i prefer to see project prior.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
typically i prefer to meet and look at the project 1st so i can see what's involved and if anything would need to be addressed. then if doing the job i let customer know when i can get started and roughly when will be done though at times schedule doesn't go according to plan and if i sense that i let customer know. i let them know when to expect me to be showing up in morning and when i'm usually done for the day.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
i had done some drywall while in high school"minor" as went to a trade school. after getting out of the u.s. navy a friend asked if i wanted to work in the trade so i said sure and started out then.
