My name is Nana Nkrahene and I tutor Math online because I love to help students overcome their Math anxiety, excel in their Math classes, and gain confidence in their ability to achieve anything they put their minds to! So, if you struggle to get your child to do Math homework, or if you feel overwhelmed and perhaps helpless over your child’s challenges with Math, or if you’re concerned about an upcoming Math test, then I believe I am the tutor for you. I have a BA in Mathematics & Economics from Mount Holyoke College, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. But more importantly, I share a passion and enthusiasm for quality Math education. And that’s what I’d like to share with your child. You see, I know how important having a good Math teacher is. I remember one of my favorite Math teachers, my fourth grade Math teacher, Ms. Campbell. Math with her was a delight. It changed everything. She taught me well. She made me believe in myself and in my ability to excel in Math. She encouraged me. She supported me. And that, I believe, has shaped my view of Math today. Research tells us that when it comes to Math education, children are likely to develop math anxiety when their teachers express Math anxiety. Hence, selecting a tutor who not only knows the material, but also maintains a positive and uplifting attitude is crucial, so that the same positivity is passed on to your child. I am that tutor. As a tutor for your child, I will encourage and challenge your child, but I will not overwhelm your child.
