- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe real estate commission costs should match the value of the services received. In some cases that may line up with the standard 5-6% total / 2-3% per transaction side, but in many cases it doesn't, especially for clients who can now do most of the work themselves. The most experienced, DIY-type clients can expect discounts or rebates of about two-thirds of the standard commission, often more. Clients who expect more of a hands-on approach can still expect discounts or rebates of about one-third. Please note that this can vary based on the home value, and the starting point for commissions
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1 is listen. Step 2-5 are also listen. I aim to fully understand the client's goals before I make any assumptions about how I can help. From there, I will explain my business model, how it differs from most agents and from other agent matching services, and how I believe I can improve their home buying and selling experience. That varies based on what a client is looking for, but generally the next step is for me to take the input of the client's priorities and find some preliminary matches for the client to consider. Once we have settled on a short list and a preliminary view of the agents' proposed commission rates, I will facilitate interviews and then I will perform final commission rate negotiations, creating competition among the finalist agents to ensure the client receives the best possible deal. At that point, the chosen agent will take the lead, and I will periodically check-in to get feedback on the effectiveness of the match so I can continuously improve.

Duke University BSE (magna cum laude, with Distinction), Harvard Business School MBA Work experience includes over a decade working with Bain & Company, a premier management consulting firm, and about three years as an e-commerce executive at Wayfair. I have extensive experience in negotiation strategy and execution, investment analysis, and delivering superior client results.
