FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To give you an accurate quote, I have a series of questions about music genres and requests, the venue, PA/equipment needs, duration, special event expectations, and promotion expectations. (for public events)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been mixing vinyl since 2016 and digital since 2018. Typically I play digital for convenience, but having this hybrid training makes me especially capable on any equipment. It also means I can play a vinyl set if your party needs that retro aesthetic. I'm not usually an open format DJ, which means I have a deep focus in the niches I specialize in. As such, my sets have more genre continuity and seamless transitions. I've been playing this music regularly at bars since early 2021, so I know exactly what disco to play, and when, to get people dancing.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got my start in Brooklyn playing rooftop beats at Disco & Brews, a monthly series I created that combined fun disco sets with the casual atmosphere of a local microbrew. The GBA roof gave me a space to refine my style, learn to work the dance floor, and get addicted to the peak time high. Breweries have since become a staple of my brand.
