I hired RNC to adjust gas piping configuration for our newly installed gas range so that it was flush against the wall. Rob who is the main guy at RNC seemed professional and polite. He is the one I worked with to set up the appointment and make final payments and stuff. Based on the photos I sent him, he provided a rough estimate and said the technician will provide a more accurate estimate on-site. When the technician arrived (late, apparently due to traffic) he had no idea what the cost would be and asked me to connect with Rob after. The technician didn’t have the correct parts, so he went to the store to get them and was gone for an hour. He finally adjusted the pipe length and installed the new gas connectors. He asked me if I wanted the anti-trip bracket reinstalled at the back and I told him it was required by code, which I thought he should have known? Anyway, he did that and left. Soon after I noticed the stove wasn’t level at all. So I had to call Rob to send the technician back to level it. After everything, there is still a one inch gap at the back of the stove, which is annoying but much better than the 4 inch gap we had before the pipe reconfiguration. Next day morning I found out that our house heat wasn’t working. Turns out the technician had turned off the gas at the boiler but forgotten to reset the pilot, so the boiler was down all night and the house was freezing. Rob sent a friend of his to get that sorted. All in all, Rob was pretty responsive and proactive in fixing things. However the entire experience was less than ideal. The final invoice was also $50 over the upper range of the estimate because of the parts required. I may give RNC another shot in the future if Rob is doing the work himself since I see a lot of positive reviews about him here and which is why I hired them in the first place.
