Individual attention to a student is important to me. That attention will continue to shape their future and inspire others as well. The knowledge and experience i acquire through publishing my drumming magazine has given me a strong sense of what drummers have problems with and how they learn. With this information I'm able to share this with my private students with a great advantage. What I like most about my job is empowering students to be creative and build self confidence. I learn and understand what problems arise from every new attempt at teaching something. It helps me to be a better educator and performer as well.

My son has taken drum lessons with Brian for a few years. What we all appreciate was that he was is so flexible with the music my son has to play from typical school music to praise music. He also has been very flexible with the times my son has his lessons. Brian has done an outstanding job both teaching and relating to my son. He has never been short with him but has encouraged him to grow in his music and to learn new and different techniques playing the drums. Brian is one of the few teachers I can honestly say without hesitation the lessons are great quality for the money and the lessons can only help my son to grow in the coming years.

In addition to excellent technical teaching, my son enjoys Brian's sense of humor and that they work on a variety of music types. Brian is always accommodating about scheduling conflicts for which I have been grateful. All-in-all, Brian is a wonderful music instructor and a pleasure to work with.

My son takes lessons with Brian. He really enjoys playing drums with and learning from Brian. Brian is especially good at finding interesting and fun pieces for my son to play, not always easy with a teenage student!

I've worked with (or currently working with) students from the age of 5 up to 78 from beginner to advanced. Students with learning challenges and amputees.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Experience is really important in any field of service. Certification is always great but in the music industry, its not always the answer. Ask for credentials and ability, how they communicate with you and are they constantly working to achieve more in their field. The "expert" will win every time. I will spend my money on the business that made me feel like there is no question in my mind, this person is the right choice.
