Introduction

I have tutored and taught math (i.e. algebra, geometry, GCSE, SAT and MCAS) professionally for 9 years and informally for an additional 4. In Boston I have taught at Chelsea High School and Madison Park, and have tutored for several companies. I taught iGCSE math (algebra, geometry, trig, vectors) in South Africa for 3 years. My strength in tutoring is catering to individual needs by adopting my teaching method to meet my student's best learning. There are many ways to explain math- and if you or your child is struggling with one, we try another! Sarah is the BEST. We could truly have never found a better math tutor for our foster son. Her kindness, humor, ability to meet him where he is, her professionalism, responsiveness, and total awareness of a lot of pieces of the puzzle are so impressive. My husband and I have marveled at the great relationship she's already established with our foster son, and he really looks forward to his sessions with Sarah. He loves math, but he had missed a fair bit in 5th grade - he is now in 6th grade. Sarah is catching him up and encouraging him every step of the way. We are so incredibly grateful for her. She is just awesome. We love to hear him both laughing from the other room and getting the right answer- and then we hear Sarah cheering him on and encouraging him to try even harder problems. We're super grateful to her!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I would prefer to start at a lower price and have you increase it once I've proven my value. I normally charge $85/h but it's more important to me that students at any income get the help they need. So please just ask if you need my help.
