Tom Cleary and team are so amazing. I came late in the game not knowing where to turn. Mr. Cleary and his office took me in under their wing and helped me get through a very difficult situation. Mr. Cleary, April and Kevin were all so understanding and it touched me so, that there are still good people in this world. I don't know what I would have done if I had not found this law firm. I will tell everyone how great these people are and I thank them all so much for the care I received. Whenever I have a question Mr. Cleary is still very helpful and responsive to my queries and concerns. Just because you don’t have an open case with Tom doesn’t mean he no longer has time for your questions or concerns.

I hired Attorney Tom Cleary back in June 2018 to assist me with a conservatorship for my mom. I spoke to him on the phone and was extremely impressed by his professionalism and expertise regarding the various issues I was needing assistance with for my mom. During the entire process, he and his staff were always available to me, if I had any questions. Attorney Cleary would also ask me how my mom was doing throughout the process which was very kind. He never lost sight of the fact that this was all about her safety and well being. My mom’s case ended up being quite long and was contested. He and his staff provided me with the best legal advice and were quite impressive in court. Throughout the six months that we worked together, Mr. Cleary was always prompt when returning my phone calls as well as emails. He always reassured me that everything would be ok. His entire staff provided the utmost attention to detail as well as made sure to keep me informed throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Attorney Cleary to anyone needing legal assistance. He is, by far, one of the best attorneys in his field.

We had a heart rending family crisis involving a Nursing Home, my late mother, property/estate issues and deceptive practices by another party or parties. Mr. Cleary rescued us from the brink of potential disaster on many levels. We watched my late mother shrivel up into a ball over the course of 8 horrific years, thinking that others were protecting us which they weren't. Add to that my Autoimmune Disease, terrible health days, fear, worry and family dysfunction and you had a recipe for a complete nightmare. Mr. Thomas Cleary woke us up from that nightmare and gave us a new recipe for redemption. He is a terrific attorney and a nice man. I cannot say enough positive things. I have required the help of an Attorney twice, once approximately eight years age and one year ago (the second of which was resolved just recently) to appeal the decision of an insurance company to deny/stop my long term disability benefits. I purchased the insurance through my employer for which they paid part of the premiums and I paid part during my 29 years of service. I became disabled in July of 2010 and was denied further benefits approximately one year later. I tried to appeal on my own and failed. I did not know who to turn to for this as there are not that many attorneys who deal with this type of law. I was given him name by the Massachusetts Board of Attorneys. That is when I first hired Attorney Thomas Cleary. He helped me a great deal and together, we won the appeal. In June of 2018, I was again denied further benefits. Due to his previous success, I again hired Attorney Cleary. The insurance company was not very reasonable and it took quite a while, but we eventually won the appeal one year later. Attorney Cleary and his office staff worked very hard on this. They were all very professional and responded to my calls and e-mails very quickly. His fees were reasonable and well worth it when I received a year's worth of retroactive benefits. I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with something like this. I have actually given his name and information to several of my past co-workers. I am keeping Attorney Cleary involved in my case in hopes that this will cause the insurance company to think twice before they try to do this to me again.

We offer pricing and payment arrangements to fit all budgets. This includes offering representation based on an hourly fee, a fixed flat fee, or a contingent fee where we are only paid if we win your case. The pricing and payment options vary depending on the type of case, the complexity of the matter, and other factors.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer free initial case consultations by telephone. During each consultation we discuss the goals of the client, the available options to help the client reach those goals, and the most cost effective approach we can use to do so. We can be hired remotely for clients who are out of state, we can travel to you for meetings, or you can meet with us in one of our three offices in Quincy, Plymouth or Raynham.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Attorney Cleary is a Magna Cum Laude graduate and Valedictorian from the University of Massachusetts School of Law at Dartmouth. While in law school, Attorney Cleary was a founder and the Editor-in-Chief of the law school’s scholarly legal journal (currently the University of Massachusetts Law Review). Attorney Cleary was awarded the Faculty Academic Achievement Award, the Sarah Clarman Bernstein Prize for Academic Excellence, the Pro Bono Program Honorary Designation and was a participant in the Domenick L. Gabrielli Family Law National Moot Court Competition. Attorney Cleary served for 4 years as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Southern New England School of Law. Attorney Cleary also served for 3 years as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Massachusetts School of Law at Dartmouth as a faculty advisor to the University of Massachusetts Law Review where he taught advanced legal research, writing and editing. Attorney Cleary has also lectured at numerous programs on the Massachusetts Uniform Probate Code and has been a keynote speaker on trends and issues in employment law, guardianships, estate and long-term care planning.
