[[ NOTE: ]] With the current concerns related to COVID-19, we want you to know: I'm fully vaccinated and have received my booster dose, too. Of course I abide by any local ordinances in whatever community I serve. We're committed to being as flexible as humanly possible regarding changes in your plans for your wedding day. We're happy to "meet' with you via Zoom or Skype in place of an in person meeting if you wish. If your re-scheduled wedding day lands on a day when I'm committed to another couple - my wife is also a Wedding Officiant! Additionally, we have other truly trusted professionals (who love weddings as much as we do) who can serve as well. We've got back up! If your wedding gets postponed, but you still want to have a "tiny wedding" on your original date, I'm happy to come to your home and maintain safe social distancing according to local regulations while officiating an intimate ceremony for you. If your wedding gets postponed to a date when none of us is available to serve you, we will fully refund any deposit you have paid to us. - - - - - - - - - I believe that officiating a wedding is a unique privilege. I especially enjoy getting acquainted with the "Nearly-Weds" so I can understand not only their preferences for the ceremony, but also their personalities. I love it when wedding guests tell me it sounded like I'd known the couple for years. I love the challenge of crafting a ceremony that reflects just the right balance of respect, sentiment, and humor for a couple. Meeting nearly-weds and hearing of their heartfelt love for one another delights me and regularly reminds me of the brilliant diversity of souls in this universe. Short of birthing babies, what could be more fun?!

Finding an officiant felt like a chore until we met TJ. TJ has a warmth and kindness in him and a way of expressing it that makes him feel like the best sort of family. In preparation for our wedding we chatted a few times and it was almost surreal: you know that feeling when you meet somebody who just seems to get you? It was like that, except for our relationship. Somebody new, with whom we got to share all of our stories and quirks and favorite things who reveled in it and who shared back. He is a wonderful person who brought much to our special day and we hope he can do the same for you.

Trust me you have found your officiant! TJ is amazing. Not once we had to worry about anything, he listens to you, he gives you advice and most importantly he cares! TJ was a huge part of why our wedding day was so perfect. Neither Jordan or I are religious, so when searching for an officiant it felt almost like something we “had” to do. TJ completely blew us away by the amount of time he spent getting to know us, the amount of care he showed us, and love, just knowing him for such a short time. He is truly amazing at what he does. During our meetings with him prior to our wedding, he would ask us questions to learn more about us and would leave me curiously wondering. Everything we shared with him about our relationship and family and values he really listened to and made our ceremony incredibly personal, he made it fun for our family and friends to listen to and they all loved TJ. Many people after our ceremony came up to Jordan and I to tell us how much they enjoyed TJs words and how personable he is and how they want to hire him for their own wedding. He is made to do this work and was such a huge part of why our day was so special. I will never forget TJ and would recommend him to anyone I know looking for an officiant for their wedding day!

TJ was a great officiant for our wedding. We met with him over Zoom prior and he mined us for information about our relationship and us each personally. The conversation was easy and organic and resulted in a ceremony that highlighted all of the special things about each of us, and us together that we had discussed. We didn't use a religious template of any sort, so the ceremony was all about us and had guests in (happy) tears by the time it was over.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No additional fees beyond the quote. My quote covers a consultation so that I can understand your preferences and personalities. Then I can really write a ceremony that suits you both. I can email you a draft, for your approval and make whatever edits you request. I'll conduct a rehearsal (if that's indicated in your request) and show up early on the day of the ceremony so everything goes as smoothly as possible. After the ceremony, I'll complete, sign and mail all indicated paperwork. Ask about our ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY DISCOUNT.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to meet with "Nearly-Weds" and get acquainted so that I can create a ceremony that reflects their unique personalities. So a face-to-face or Skype consultation usually gets the process started. I email a draft to the couple (unless they prefer to be surprised) and make whatever adjustments until it's "just right" for both of them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As an educator and clinician I have always sought to connect with and understand those I serve. My fondness for the performing arts contributes to the joy I find while celebrating a wedding.
