FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, lawyers take a retainer which is money paid up front. But I offer different options such as "pay as you go," flat fee, limited appearance retainers (this is where I do some work and you do the rest -- for example, I might write your court papers but you will do the ensuing negotiating and any court appearances) and legal coaching. In other words, I can work with you to make sure my services are a good financial fit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At an initial interview I get a sense of what the case is about and offer different legal options for moving the case forward. I will talk about price for different options and the strengths and weaknesses of Court versus alternatives to Court.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have more than 15 years experiences as a lawyer. I am also a trained mediator and trained Collaborative Lawyer. As a family law only attorney, I hone my skills by keeping abreast of the latest family law information, law and trainings.
