- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My basic fee includes an initial phone or Zoom consultation to a plan for your ceremony. The base fee is $250 , plus travel and expenses. Additional fees apply for specialized ceremony script writing and other counseling regarding your event. I do not offer discounts but I do try to be reasonable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will meet by phone or Zoom to plan for your ceremony and agree on a plan that meets your needs. This is your day and I want you to be happy and not worried about the ceremony itself. We will talk at least one more time before the wedding. I will plan to be there 45 minutes to 1 hour before the service to work out any issues and to take care of the marriage license.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Trained as a motivational speaker and with over 30 year as a college professor, I am comfortable speaking to groups of 10 to 1000. Nothing is more distracting at a ceremony than an officiant who is not good in a crowd ! I try to use humor and compassion in my officiating and help you to be comfortable, engaging your guests and making it a GREAT DAY !
