Hi Kim, I hope you are well. I’m very disappointed with your review. During our initial intake process, I as a professional took the time to understand your situation, give you all the allowable credits and deductions and reduce your tax liability. I also went above and beyond contacting the IRS directly since the filing date was past due. I understand that it’s never good news if you have to pay back to the IRS but even if you did your own tax return, or looked for another professional, your tax liability depends on the amount of income you had and also the deductions allowable by the IRS. I explained thoroughly why you had a small tax bill for 2020 you are a single person and had a very high income, not enough allowable deductions and I as a professional It’s my responsibility to make sure nothing is being overlooked. The difference in a taxpayer doing their own taxes versus a professional is that we constantly stay studying all the tax laws to better serve our clients. We also make sure that the deductions being claimed apply to your situation, so later down the road your not surprised with a letter form the IRS. With all this being said I am very satisfied that I was able to lower your tax liability after your income being so high for 2020, having a w-2 income, self employment job with no expenses, and withdrawing your retirement and everything else you had.
