If you want to pay a licensed professional to research you and your neighbors' property records to determine where boundaries are and mark them, that's the quote. I'm quoting you based on my past experience with residential surveys in the greater Boston area. I've had residential stakeouts cost as little as $1000 but have had some over $4000. I gave you the average range of most jobs. There's far more that goes into a boundary survey than the final setting of the stakes which would be apparent if your neighbor disagreed with the result and took us both to court
