***Currently only taking online students*** I love teaching and am devoted to giving each student a personalized experience that helps them achieve their goals. I have over 8 years teaching, and have taught styles such as, blues, rock, metal, classical, and folk. For me, it's very important to give each student the skills necessary to function independently as a musician and not just a guitarist.

I’ve been working with Michael for about 9ish months now and I can say confidently I feel a strong improvement in my classical guitar skills and a better general understanding of a lot of different classical guitar music. I’ve had a lot of points in time where I’ve lost motivation to keep playing and learning, but because of Michael’s patience and down to earth understanding of what this field is, I regained my motivation and continue to keep practicing and getting better. If you are looking to study classical guitar in college or just learn for fun, I highly recommend taking lessons from Michael.

As an older student, my learning ability and retention are not as good as they were when I was younger. Michael has the patience to work with people who may need a little extra time to absorb new material. He explains things clearly and will spend extra time going over challenging parts of a lesson. I’ve had numerous teachers over the last 15 years and he is the best.

Mike is a great teacher, understands everything about guitar teaching and always finds a way to make the lesson fun. Boden, 11 y/o student Mike has been an amazing instructor. He has managed to keep my pre-teen engaged and enthusiastic about guitar. He has progressed a ton and loves lesson time. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a basic format I start each student with, but from there it can go in any direction. It just depends on the student and their goals. I'm very concerned with them getting what they want out of our time together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 2 degrees in music. The most recent is a master's in classical guitar performance from New England Conservatory.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It's my passion to play guitar, and I really enjoy being the person that helps others find that joy too.
