I have taught music for over 20 years to students of all ages, from 8 to 80, teaching private lessons, ensembles, clinics, music theory, and composition. I currently teach harmony and ensembles at Berklee College of Music, I also taught private bas lessons for 10 years at the University of Maine in Augusta, and during that time I also taught at Bowdoin and Bates Colleges. I have also taught clinics around the world, including the US, Japan, and Russia.
For the past few years I have taught at home and online, allowing both myself and my students the flexibility to schedule lessons at a time that works for both of us. I have taught online for over 15 years, and have seen how technology has enabled students to make real progress while studying remotely. Over time I've developed a method of teaching that utilizes available technology while avoiding the difficulties that student and teachers often face.
