FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are on a sliding scale of $20-$40 with a $10 intake fee for first visits only.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are talking to new patients before they come to the clinic. Before your first in-person visit, we ask that you schedule a tele-health intake appointment and fill out all paperwork. Tele-health appointments for New Patient Intakes can be made on our website or by calling or texting us. After we discuss what you want to work on, you will be scheduled for your first in-person visit. At this visit, you get a tour of the clinic. You then sit down in the group treatment room, take off your shoes and socks, pull your pants to your knees and sleeves to your elbows, and lean on back in our comfy zero gravity recliners. The acupuncturist takes your pulse and begins the treatment. Everything should feel comfortable once all points are placed. Most people then rest for 40-50 minutes, and just let the practitioner know when they want to get up. 20 minutes is a recommended minimum, and we aim to have folks in and out in about an hour, but we can be flexible as long as we have space! On your way out, your acupuncturist will check in about how you're feeling, discuss a treatment plan, explain the self-pay station, and let you decide how you'd like to pay.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Oren "Ren" Pilinger completed a Master's program at the New England School of Acupuncture in order to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine, and is licensed by the Board of Registration in Medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and nationally board certified by the NCCAOM.
