FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work within a client's budget but I do have a minimum for mural painting of $400. Fine art canvas work ranges widely; a sketch can be done for a couple of hundred dollars and the prices go up into the thousands. House portraits are priced at $175 (including matting and framing) for a 16x20 finished product. That is the basic price but some go higher depending on the house.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have an initial conversation with the potential customer and try to ascertain what type of art they have been thinking of. We discuss the size and scope of the project and I determine what their budget is. If the client is unable to decide what they want, I offer suggestions and explain the best way for them to get the most for their money since some images are more time consuming than others and therefore more costly. I try to give my client an idea of how long I think the job will take and finally we schedule the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self taught artist with over 30 years of professional experience.
