I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Kandace P. Platts, as a fitness/personal trainer. Kandace has been my trainer, motivator and confidante for 3 months. She has been able to walk that fine line of being the cutest drill sergeant and inspiring work out buddy with an ease that is uniquely hers. As a registered nurse, she has helped me with my diet which in turn has helped me push through those harder work outs and has reduced my hypoglycemia moments. I have worked out muscles that I didnt know even existed and even, when I give my dirty look after a touch 10th rep of some crazy exercise, I always feel a great since of accomplishment. Kandace has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. I am so grateful for her encouragement and knowledge and the best part, it is all done with such grace and a beautiful smile. I am so looking forward to working towards my first bikini competition with you.

Ive trained with Kandace for a year now.
She gives a personalized 1 to 1 training tailored to help me achieve my specific fitness goals.
Her seasoned knowledge in muscle conditioning, core workouts, agility & strength training have greatly helped condition me for my Spartan Races.
She is always prepared & makes it a point to clearly show you how to correctly perform each exercise.
And there is no lack of her generous motivation that I sometimes need to finish her tough workouts.
She quickly observed my poor breathing & lack of flexibility.
Her suggestion to try yoga along with her nutrition & diet tips, helped make a positive difference in my overall fitness & health.
And in my opinion, Kandace being a registered nurse just adds another layer of knowledge & professionalism that makes her stand out.
She is an excellent personal trainer & nutrition coach!

Working with Kandace has changed the way I look at food. I thought I knew a lot about what my body needed in terms of fuel to get me through the day, fuel my exercise, and help me achieve the desired fitness goals - I was wrong! Kandace not only challenged me to look at what I was doing wrong, she helped me get through many adverse reactions that I was having to certain types of food, and figure out the right ratios of carbs, fats, and protein that I need for my body - which is different than other people. There was no cookie cutter approach - everything was personalized to me and my lifestyle. Kandace was also there without hesitation whenever I needed her. It was definitely one-on-one and personal.
In addition to the diet coaching, I worked with her to set some fitness goals specifically related to competing in my first natural body building competition. I literally could not have done it without her! Again, I thought I knew everything there was to know about working out - considering my life's work has been dedicated to understanding the human body and how it functions....I definitely have learned a ton from this part of my experience with Kandace as well.
I have and will continue to refer my patients to her, and I will continue to utilize her in the future for years to come!
