FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We always offer the lowest price we can for all the services we offer. We do not match competitors prices because our competitors can not match our service. Our inspections and estimates are prepared On a detailed multipage PDF with pictures and descriptions of concerns, dictation of NFPA safety code violations with reference number. All of our technicians are fully licensed and trained by the chimney safety Institute of America. The products we use for repairs are worlds beyond the products available in New England. We do enough volume to have been able to partner with one of the industries most innovative manufacturers. They have products like two-ply smooth wall stainless flue liners. They look just like The stainless liners available up here but they are twice as strong and smooth inside which allows for increased draft and flow, they don’t allow creosote to build on a wood application or water droplets to form from condensation with a gas application. That is just one example of the many top quality products you can only find at Certified Chimney. Although we don’t match our competitors prices our quotes are always below industry standards and often lower than our competition. We do have a double lifetime guarantee on all of our stainless steel parts, covers the parts and the installation for the lifetime of the home fully transferable. We do guarantee other repairs as well. A lifetime guarantee from a strong solid company has value in itself.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In almost all cases, our technicians will come to the home and begin with an inspection of the chimney, internal and external. If they find any issues during their inspection, they will alert the homeowner as to (a) the issue in question, (b) the severity and (c) what steps the homeowner should take to remedy the situation. If no issues are noted, they will proceed with the sweeping of the flue. If, for any reason, the flue cannot be swept, they will notify the homeowner as to why this is the case.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our technicians are CSIA certified. They are able to complete all facets of chimney work with expertise, from a simple cleaning and inspection to major repairs.
