FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In addition to travel considerations, my rates for different jobs vary depending on my personal experience in the fields and the equipment necessary. I charge more for videography, broadcasting, and announcing jobs because they are the bulk of my work experience, and they require the most equipment and setup. For most jobs with an hourly rate, the minimum charge for the job will be one hour, even if the job itself takes less than 15 minutes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Associate's in communications from Middlesex Community College, bachelor's in journalism from Salem State University (minor in interactive multimedia)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In terms of sports broadcasting, announcing and videography work, I couldn't play sports competitively after 4th grade after I had surgery to correct a congenital heart defect, so videography, broadcasting, statkeeping and writing were how I stayed involved with my schools' sports teams. For pet sitting, I already had seven years of experience walking and sitting my sister and brother in law's dog, then in 2020 I adopted my greyhound Tina. After becoming dissatisfied with food delivery jobs to fill my time between my sports jobs, I added pet sitting and walking to my professional offerings in 2023. It's been terrific for my physical, mental and financial health, and it doesn't hurt that all my clients' dogs have loved me.
