Hello there and thank you for clicking on my link! My name is Rob, and I've owned my own DJ business since 2018 and have been DJ'ing parties for the past 20 years. I recently added a Selfie Station to my services (digital prints only), and have worked corporate gatherings. I am also ordained in the state of Connecticut if you need an officiant for your wedding. I can provide uplighting for your event and never charge extra for MC'ing, dance lights or foam sticks. Sorry, I do not perform at bar or bat mitzvah's. My music library consists of over 750,000 songs and all my music is clean. I'm proud of the fact that all my reviews have been 5-star. You will see I am dependable, focused on the event, and will do whatever it takes to make you happy. Please note that the initial price you receive is not set in stone. Prices depends on factors such as length of the event, location of the event, and services you want. I will set up a video meeting so we can meet each other, talk about your event and then come up with a price. Because this is part-time for me, I can keep my prices low and have a lot of open dates. Rob was amazing! He was the DJ for my annual halloween party and he really went out of his way to make sure my guests were enjoying themselves. He brought these amazing light up foam sticks and he played a wide range of music that everyone could enjoy. At one point in the party he picked out songs specifically for certain people’s costumes. The tent we were in wasn’t as warm as I had planned and he braved the cold without so much as a complaint. Not only was he super fun but he was professional, on time, and responsive which is all very important. I would highly recommend SDS productions for any event!

Rob was WONDERFUL! He was so considerate to our needs and requests and went out of his way to make sure that we felt heard, cared for, and that we danced until the very end! He was attentive to the schedule and to the vibe of the crowd. He even brought the northern lights were out and that added such a special moment to our wedding. He also fulfilled my wife's dream of being a DJ! We highly recommend him for any event, but especially a wedding. Thank you!

Our experience with Rob as our DJ was overall excellent. He was very responsive to our needs and adapted to dynamic changes in our schedule (during the event) without missing a beat. He brought great energy throughout and kept everyone dancing until the very end. He also really understands how the wedding day structure works and was able to provide valuable advice on the fly. Finally, he was very kind and thoughtful and provided extra flourishes and services that were not expected. Highly recommended!

Rob did an excellent job as DJ and emcee for the 70 person birthday party I threw for my boyfriend at our house in Jamestown, RI last weekend. He was very responsive, professional, and most importantly, everyone had a great time! I sent him a playlist with more than 25 songs on it, which he used and supplemented with some other great tunes. And he brought some glowsticks which our guests had fun with. I would highly recommend working with SDS and will definitely hire SDS for my next big event. Rob was our DJ for our wedding recently, and he truly was the cherry on top of our magical day. Throughout wedding planning, I just kept adding songs I liked to a playlist, sent it over to him, and he handled everything else. He successfully kept lots of people on the dance floor ALL night, and everyone had the absolute best time thanks to him! He’s also such a blast to have party with you on your special day. We could not recommend him enough!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every event brings its own unique dynamic that constitutes the pricing. Every attempt to adhere to a customer request is made, and I never make promises I can't keep. Travel time and the extra time needed to set up and break down the equipment may be added to the estimate you see for the event. Also, since this is not my full-time job, I can afford to keep my prices low.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a few messages back and forth, I like to set up a video conference call to go through the process and talk about the event. I lay out all the pricing in advance so there are no hidden fee's later. My customers are never kept in the dark and during the event, I do not consume any alcohol.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have owned my own DJ business since 2018. I have been DJ'ing parties for 20 years. My library has 750,000 songs, my music is clean, and my guests are encouraged to contribute to the set list.
