FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My minimum fee is $500. Typically I can perform solo for up to 3 hours for that price. I have an additional fee of $175 for each hour after 3 hours. I also charge travel expenses if your event is more that 60 miles away from me. Because every project is different, I'm happy to provide custom price quotes tiered for up to a 4 piece band. That way you can find the perfect balance for your budget and music entertainment needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically the customer will email me to start the conversation. We'll then schedule a quick call to go over specifics. From there, I will issue a contract and take a 50% deposit to hold the date. Any questions and follow up calls are welcomed once the date is confirmed. The balance is due on the day of the performance.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although I am primarily self-taught, I have a BFA from UMass in Amherst where I studied music composition. I have also worked with a variety of music teachers over my life, including Latin music from Pepe Gaytan, Rumba Flamenca from Alvaro Sánchez Olvera, and I am currently studying Flamenco from Guillermo Guillén. The way I have learned the most is from consistent performing for well over a decade.
