FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge $250. for a wedding without a rehearsal. Since a rehearsal would mean that I am unavailable for a wedding, I charge $100. Usually if it is a small wedding a rehearsal is unnecessary and if it is a large one the venue does it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If possible, I like to meet with the couple to go over all the elements of a good ceremony and have them pick what they want to say in each element. I then make their special ceremony, email it to them to check over and they can make any changes or additions right up until the last minute.Sometimes they prefer to choose from many that I have already made.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to The Elms College and took most of the classes in the deaconate program. I obviously couldn't complete it in the context of a Catholic deaconate since I am a woman. I have many more credits at the college in religious studies and have worked in the church closely with the pastors for many years. I have been the spiritual care coordinator at a nursing home where I truly learned that we are all children of the same universe. While I believe in God, my sister is a Humanist and that makes no difference to us.
