Are you frustrated and struggling with Organic Chemistry or Physics? Well Orgo/Physics Made Easy is here to help! I am a full-time Organic Chem tutor and YouTube educator. My partner Brandon is a former Physics PhD candidate at BU and now tutors Physics. We both offer private tutoring in person in Boston or through Zoom if you live farther away. I have over 10 years of tutoring/teaching experience and have worked with students from over 30+ universities and 5+ countries. I was also both a physics learning assistant and physiology undergraduate assistant at Boston University. My tutoring style is very active and engaging as described by many of my students, and I make sure that its not just another lecture for them but rather a stimulating session that involves plenty of dialogue and critical thinking. Having gone through the standard premed track in college, I experienced firsthand how grueling and tough it is. At first, I struggled so much with courses, like General Chemistry, Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Physics, but then, when I began tutoring the subjects, I began seeing the big picture, and it was as if the missing piece of a puzzle just clicked into place for me, and it all made sense. Ever since, its been my passion to pass on all that I know to students and help them learn the material in a fraction of the time it took me. Ultimately, I would like to help students everywhere find the hidden potential in them that they are not always aware that they have.

I'm a postbacc pre-med student at USC. Frank was helpful this summer when I took Orgo 2, one of the hardest classes I’ve ever taken. He'll ask for your syllabus/schedule beforehand to see what your prof is teaching each week and prep accordingly. We spent every session going over the worksheets provided in class; I found it most efficient to attempt all the practice problems myself first so that when I video-called frank, I could just ask him my questions. We met virtually, but by using a live-board app, we could write on the same screen simultaneously so it felt like meeting with an in-person tutor. Finishing Orgo 2 in a 5-week summer session was truly intense; I could not have managed a “B” in this class without Frank’s help.

I'm a pre-med student, going back to college to do all the science classes that scared me the first time around. Chem 1 and 2 were challenging for me, and I was horrified by what everybody said about Organic Chemistry. The first few weeks of class I STRUGGLED. I went to my professor's office hours, did tons of practice problems, and spent so much time looking on YouTube. Frank Wong's videos were super helpful, and broke things down in bite size chunks that I could actually understand. So when he mentioned that he offered tutoring, I jumped at the chance to try it out. The investment was worth it. I was sitting on a nice C- at the start of the semester, and ended up with a B as my final grade! I know in great part I owe that success to the help that Frank and Jason provided me. Getting individualized help was crucial for me, especially since I have a background in the liberal arts and have struggled with certain science subjects in high school. Frank and Jason were both patient, understanding, and flexible. They would ask me to send them my syllabus and practice problems before the lesson started so we were able to maximize the efficiency of the time we spent on the tutoring session. I had never done online tutoring before, but it worked out great and fit in with my schedule much better. They used an online platform called Zoom which really helped with drawing the problems out like you would do in person on a whiteboard. They helped me with practice problems and homework, and they frequently drilled me to make sure that I fully understood the concepts before we moved on. They both explained things in a way that was more relaxed and easy going than what my professor could do. She was a great teacher, but she was always busy and only had a few minutes here or there. The pace in class was way too fast, but I didn't have to panic because I knew that my lessons with Frank and Jason would help me catch up. Honestly, paying college tuition is a big investment, so I saw tutoring as a way to PROTECT that investment. I can't thank Jason and Frank enough! Organic Chemistry was never easy for me, but they helped make it much easier than it would have been otherwise!

I discovered the Orgo Made Easy team through YouTube and reaching out to the was the best decision I made. I studied in undergrad at Dartmouth College, and I am in grad school at UCLA currently prepping for the MCAT. The Frank, Saas, and Dan have been the ultimate help for me and I wish that I had found them sooner. They are super knowledgeable about Chemistry (both general and Orgo), and have just been an immense help overall.
