- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Initial consultations with treatment are $95 and last approximately 90 minutes. All follow-up sessions are $75 and require roughly 60 minutes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Philip will often have a short conversation over the phone to discuss any questions a first time patient may have. The patient will then have an initial consultation/treatment which will last approximately 90 minutes. Philip uses this time to get a thorough understanding of the complaints and cause of disease/discomfort, obtain a clear diagnosis, and finally to administer treatment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Philip earned his Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest accredited institution in the United States. The MAOM degree is a 4 year, year-round program, complete with clinical rotations at various clinics and hospitals followed by four sets of National Board Exams administered by the NCCAOM. State licensure is governed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine. Philip studied both Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles, with a strong focus on orthopedic acupuncture, as well as Chinese Herbal Medicine. He has received advanced herbal training with renowned Chinese medical practitioners, Dr. Winnie Chow and Yan Ping Jin. During his clinical training, particularly at Boston Medical Center, Philip worked in conjunction with Allopathic physicians to provide both Eastern and Western methods of healing patients. This experience helped lay the foundation for his integrative medical approach.
