Introduction

All-level online (from anywhere!) and in-person classes (for Boston area) for private and group cello lessons and music theory/history sessions. I focus on technique, musical expression & body awareness that pairs with music knowledge through some exercises in music history and theory. Together, we will create a personalized daily and weekly practice plan that will positive encourage progress and keep you interested. I have been playing cello for 20+ years and teaching for over 7 years, working with beginners to intermediate-advanced students, from kids to adult amateurs. I offer lessons from 45 min to one hour and would generally recommend an hour for the first few meetings. I also offer longer lessons if needed! Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Excellent teacher! Very patient and with high quality of musicianship. My daughter has been inspired with passion to learn cello after just few lessons with Ms. Jenna. Her lessons were not only for teaching techniques, but also enriching the musicianship for the students (i.e. by introducing composers, background of the music, etc.). Highly recommend!!

Jenna is an incredible cello teacher! She explains things really well and is incredibly patient when trying to teach new techniques.
