FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically do a free trial lesson with new students so that we can meet, understand each other's goals, and get a feel for how lessons will happen in the future. After the trial lesson, I will send my lesson policy for students to review and decide if they would like to move forward with lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In 2018, I graduated with my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Delaware. In 2020, I graduated with my Master of Music in Flute Performance from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In high school, I realized how much I loved teaching when I would help my friends in band as well as math. I decided to go to college for Music Education to become a band director. I realized halfway through my degree that I loved performing and teaching flute equally, so I went on to do my Master’s in Flute Performance to become a better flutist and teacher. I have been teaching private flute students for 8 years and incorporate everything I have learned into my teaching.
