Jeffrey and Kristen are true professionals, and we were so lucky to have connected with them! When we posted to Thumbtack, we were looking for someone cost-effective who could take hi-resolution, professional photos of our elopement. Jeffrey contacted us, and we were so fortunate that he did. Out of all the photographers we were connected with through Thumbtack, we really found their attention to focus and depth-of-field to be really evocative and romantic – EXACTLY what we were looking for! Jeffrey and Kristen showed up an hour early just to scope out the venue for good locations and lighting. We had an outdoor wedding at 1PM in October – a beautiful sunny day. Since they are a team, they were able to take simultaneous shots of me and my wife as we saw each other for the “first look” in all our wedding finery. That we have such a perfect, indelible record of that moment is something we can’t really put a price tag on. Another thing we really loved about our photos is that none of them feel “staged” – and that’s very much attributable to how relatable and personable Jeffrey and Kristen are as people. Taking photos with them felt natural – like we had a couple of friends with us who were more than happy to help capture every embrace and kiss. They have an adept sense of what makes a perfect photo op. ALL of this happened during COVID – the planning and contracting all happened through video conferencing, and both Jeffrey and Kristen were incredibly professional and respective of risk-management during this crazy, crazy time. Immediately after getting home from our elopement weekend in the Berkshires, we got a “sneak peek” at our photos while the set was being edited, so we had beautiful first photos to share with our friends when we were super excited to show them off! All our friends were impressed by how beautiful our photos looked, and especially loved the candid nature and feel to them. We now have digital copies of everything, and an online source that is secure for us and super easy to access. It really was a pleasure working with Jeffrey and Kristen, and we absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a truly dynamic duo of professional photographers!

I don’t think I could put into words just how happy I am we hired this amazing husband and wife team to photograph our special day. Since we were only having an intimate elopement capturing the moment was very important to us. Jeff and Kristen were so accommodating, took every shot we asked and had an amazing eye for the details and what shots would look best! They were super professional and kind. When we received our sneak peeks I felt like I got to relive the day all over again!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
WEDDINGS & ELOPEMENTS When we are working with a new customer we will first have a brief phone call and go over their needs to be sure we're the right fit for them. Once we've collected a few details such as their date/venue and get an idea of what they're looking for, if we are a great fit we will set up a video call that allows us to meet face to face, share some laughs, go through our packages together and answer any questions they may have. Once booked, we set up their engagement session if they are doing one and we guide our clients with multiple follow ups as we get closer to their wedding day.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Do you have a date and location/venue picked out? Approximately how many hours of coverage would you like from the photographers? How important is the photography coverage to you? What will you be basing your decision on when choosing your photographer?
