We have gone thru 3 guitar teachers. Josh is the first to have his act together. He has structured lessons and actually takes classes to help him properly teach his skill, yet does it in an easy going manner. My kids have even noticed the difference in what they have learned with Josh verses other teachers. He does cost more than the other teachers we have used in the past but he also gives more. Definitely worth the money. I highly recommend using Josh.

After trying to learn guitar on my own for 5 years, I was stuck and frustrated. Working with Slidell Guitar School is helping me to get past those road blocks. Josh is a great teacher and is excited to help his students reach their goals. He has an holistic approach where he blends music theory with rhythm and lead. We started our daughter in guitar lessons with Josh seven months ago. In that time, we have seen so much growth with our daughters ability to play an instrument along with self esteem improvements. I think music development plays a crucial role in many aspects of a childs development. I highly recommend Slidell guitar school.

Josh is such an awesome teacher and is truly passionate about helping you learn to play the guitar. His approach is the complete opposite of cookie cutter. He helps you learn the basics of course but he puts an equal emphasis on becoming a musician/being able to create your own sound. Even on group lessons, you get the individual attention you need.

I have been training with Josh for about 2 months now and my favorite part of his teaching method is how he takes a concept we learn and shows us how to apply it immediately to a song that we actually like to play, rather than tired and boring nursery rhyme type standards. He is always available to ask questions, and the group setting allows for collaboration with other students of similar skill and interest. What truly sets him apart is the customized learning map, so that I know what and how to practice rather than just picking at my guitar and never really expanding my skillset. I would recommend him to anyone that really wants to train to be a great guitarist.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step is to have a telephone conversation with a inquiring student (or student parent) about what goals the student would like to achieve. Based on that conversation's outcome I would then invite the student for a free introductory/assessment lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the "Elite Guitar Teachers Inner Circle" in which I continuously train in the how to best achieve massive results for each student.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started teaching guitar 5 years ago to friends and family and decided to create my business when I saw there was a huge need for quality guitar teachers in my area.
