Introduction
MOVE IT! by bike is rebuilding after losing all our equipment. Each time we are hired gets us closer to replacing our trailers and bicycles so we can be a moving company again. Right now MOVE IT! by bike has one 4x8 trailer that can move one or two pieces of furniture and appliances. As we add more to our fleet we can move entire apartments. We are not there yet but we are getting there. What we can also do furniture assembly, loading and unloading services and furniture relocation within the same building. We strive for happy customers. A happy customer means we did the job well at a fair price.

Tim and his crew were FANTASTIC! They recently move a refrigerator to my second floor apartment with precision, care and talent. Because the fridge was larger than my door way, they had to take apart the doors and reassemble the fridge. I was impressed at how meticulously Tim went about accounting for all of the pieces. These guys are providing a great service. It is so nice to not have to have over paid for a large moving truck to move just a refrigerator. I highly recommend them.

Tim and the professionals at Move It! were amazing. Tim showed up on our walkthrough day to let us know we were in good hands. We had them move approximately 175 chairs and 20 benches from our wedding ceremony to our reception site, while the wedding group second lined. They had a tight window, and exceeded beyond expectations. They moved all the chairs, and set them up at our reception site for our guests to sit at, all within 30 minutes of our celebration second line. I highly recommend Move It by Bike! -David & Jorie

No complaints. Tim and his crew were flexible due to weather issues, showed up on time, did an excellent job of helping me unload a rented 16 foot truck. Very professional and reasonably priced. I would use MOVE IT! again.

Prompt, easy to communicate with and moved beds and frames from a third floor French Quarter apartment. They made their own pulley system to hoist the beds down. Incredible. We moved from the FQ to the Garden District. I reached out to them less than 15 hours before the move. Tim was friendly and organized his hard working crew well. I will recommend him to clients and use him again.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was moving from the French Quarter and did not own a car. I got around on a bicycle so decided to move using my bike. I found a large trailer made by Bikes At Work and ordered one. My intention was to use the trailer then store it to use if I needed to move again. During my move many people asked about what I was doing and wanted my number so I could help them move sometime. Sensing a demand I started MOVE IT! by bike.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We moved a client out of the French Quarter to the CBD. Her old place was on the second floor down twisting narrow stairs. Her new place was on the fourth floor up some long steps but no elevator. We had to lower a couch over the balcony to get it out. Six movers were employed for this job. Two at the moving out location to pack and move things out to the street and help load the trailers. Two to pull the trailers with a bicycle from the moving out location to the moving in location and then back to do it again. And two to help unload the trailers and bring everything up to the moving in place. MOVE IT! by bike completed this job in less time than predicted and under budget.
