FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard price is $500 a day for most projects, however there are some variables depending on logistics, travel, shipping, difficult to reach walls, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If possible I like to have a brief chat either via email or phone to better understand the clients wants and needs, followed by a meeting to see the space. In some cases, a meeting before moving forward can't happen and I work from pictures. I like to have a sense of the area the art is going in as well the client in order to better serve them. Once that's done, I put together a quote and a sketch or sample of my proposed art. If the client is happy with both I take a 50% deposit and we set a start date with the remainder due upon completion. If the client would like to see changes in the sketch or the quote is out of their budget I attempt to work with them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I painted my first mural at 16 in high school, later I spent four years with a high end decorative company painting murals all over the world for commercial clients as well as free lancing with two other muralists. In addition I attended The American Academy of Art in Chicago, IL with a focus on oil painting and fine art. I also attended Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC, studying commercial art and design.
