Initially, we'll discuss your goals with the guitar. Whether you're aiming to play professionally or just looking to learn guitar as a hobby, I'll help you realize your goals with personalized instruction based on your own learning styles and musical interests. Having a strong background in musical composition, I enjoy incorporating elements of ear training, sight-reading, and improvisation into my lessons to help students develop a well-rounded skill set. I also like to use resources such as music apps, practice journals, and guitar method books.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans' music program, where I studied both jazz and classical guitar, earning a Bachelor of Music in Composition. I also attended the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA), focusing on jazz guitar. I have experience in both solo and ensemble performance, including jazz big band and chamber ensembles.
