- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My career began in the United States Marine Corps as a Telecommunications Specialist. After my service, I transitioned into the industrial industry, working as a Journeyman Electrician in chemical plants such as Shell and Dow Chemical. In addition to this, I am experienced in the residential electrical industry, where I’ve handled a variety of projects including electrical repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, lighting installations, full home remodels, new construction, and complete rewires. I’ve also worked as an Industrial Automation Electrical Specialist, with expertise in PLCs, system controls, and interpreting complex schematics and blueprints. Throughout my career, I’ve held leadership positions, overseeing teams of electricians and ensuring the efficient, high-quality execution of electrical projects. I completed my schooling at ABC School and continue my education through courses focused on the NEC Codebook and other updates, ensuring I stay current with the latest industry standards.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
From a young age, I was fascinated by electricity. I spent hours taking apart radios and other devices, trying to understand how they worked. As I got older, I joined the United States Marine Corps, where I trained as a Telecommunications Specialist. This experience opened doors and deepened my interest in electrical systems. Over time, I realized that becoming an electrician was the perfect path for me. The combination of my early curiosity and the training I’ve received has made this career a natural fit, and I truly enjoy solving electrical challenges every day.
