- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a session fee for all formal zoom or in person meetings and a general monthly fee covering all other contact and general editing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I holds BA in Political Science and History from Barnard College, Columbia University and a MA in History with a minor in Gifted Education from Louisiana State University. I holds a certificate in College Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. In 2011, I was named Louisiana’s James Madison Memorial Foundation Fellows, which fully funded my graduate education. I was was awarded the Louisiana DAR History Teacher of the Year in 2016 and named a “Person to Watch” in 2006 by 225 Magazine. I have served as an AP US History Exam Reader for six years. Prior to entering education, I worked as a political communications consultant for 15 years, advising local, state and national leaders nationwide and advocating for education issues. I began my communications career working at NY1 News.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Seven years ago, I developed a unique college and career course that uses a multi-faceted approach to help students discern their post-secondary path while gaining valuable tools for social-emotional growth at this critical juncture. In 2017, after my daughter was admitted to Dartmouth, the University of Pennsylvania, Barnard, Georgetown, Williams, Wesleyan, Wellesley, Boston College, Sewanee: University of the South, and Louisiana State University, friends started calling me for help and through word of mouth, I began working with families nationwide.
